Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities Odyssey Day
Our biggest day of the year is just around the corner!
The Pittsburgh Region Clean Cities (PRCC) Coalition warmly invites you to save the date for our annual Odyssey Day Celebration! This year we will be honoring the 30th Anniversary of the Department of Energy’s Clean Cities Program. Please join us!
Odyssey Day provides a full day of interactive and experiential educational activities dedicated to promoting the use of alternative fuels and advanced technology vehicles. The annual gathering was first coordinated by the National Alternative Fuels Training Consortium (NAFTC) headquartered at West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, in partnership with the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in 2002.
PRCC hosts Odyssey Day every Fall at the Community College of Allegheny County’s (CCAC’s) West Hills Center. The day features presentations and unique activities designed to educate the public about cleaner transportation technologies while highlighting the unique features of CCAC’s facilities. Participants explore sustainable, climate-friendly transportation solutions while learning about the many collaborative opportunities available throughout the Western PA region.
Example activities include:• workshops• demonstrations• clean, alternative fuel vehicle displays• ride-and-drives and more!
This year we look forward to sharing some history about the Clean Cities Program, facilitating efforts towards a Regional Strategic Plan, providing resources to foster municipality involvement, and launching new initiatives like our Workplace Charging Pledge program.
A full agenda will be shared closer to the event date. Watch for more details to come in the weeks ahead!
