Carnegie Mellon University’s H. John Heinz III College, in partnership with the Traffic21 Institute and the Safety21 National University Transportation Center, would like to make you aware of the Equity and Inclusion Transportation Fellowship.
Heinz College’s Traffic21 Institute – Equity and Inclusion Transportation Fellows receive a $2,000/ year scholarship. The Fellows also earn their work study award for their work with Heinz College’s Traffic21 Institute during the fall and spring semesters (typically 10-12 hours per week).
The fellowship program was established as part of Heinz College’s commitment to promoting diversity in the field of Transportation Systems. Preference will be given to (i) students who have selected “Transportation” as their area of interest within the application for admission, (ii) students who have demonstrated interest and commitment to the promotion of equity and inclusion in transportation, (iii) students with a major/minor in gender studies/ theory, (iv) graduates of HBCU’s and HSI’s, (v) students who are first in their family to attend graduate school, and/or (vi) students for whom English is their second language.
