The Ohio State University

The Ohio State University researchers have expertise in a number of simulation environments thanks to the OSU Center for Automotive Research. The facilities support scale-model experiments in a laboratory setting using robotic platforms, hardware in the loop experiments, and full-scale demonstrations involving multiple instrumented vehicles both on campus, and eventually at Easton Town Center in Columbus.

These capabilities allow researchers to design, implement, and test a sensing, control, or behavioral strategy using a modular, staged approach beginning with simulated vehicles in a purely simulated environment and ending with a mixture of real and virtual full-scale vehicles operating in a real-world, outdoor environment.
