Community Engagement for University-Community Collaboration

Safety21 UTC Diversity & Equity in Transportation Fellow Wesley Mawn engaged in conversation at the Community Engagement for University-Community Collaboration event, hosted by CMU Libraries and the Sustainability Initiative. From data collection, to experiential learning courses, charter school partnerships, a spring break program engaging students in the Pittsburgh community, and more, the University’s efforts are growing thanks to the devotion of staff and community leaders.

The discussion was moderated by Taiwo Lasisi & Emma Slayton from CMU Libraries, with speakers Scott Wolovich from New Sun Rising and Nicky Agate, Chelsea Blackburn Cohen, Sarah Ceurvorst, and Julie Poepping from across the University community.
