USDOT Opens $5M for Transit Improvements for Older Adults, People with Disabilities, and Low-Income Individuals

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Transit Administration (FTA) recently announced the availability of approximately $4.7 million in competitive grant funding to projects that improve access to vital transportation services for older adults, people with disabilities, and low-income individuals…

The funding is available through FTA’s Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) pilot program, which supports projects that improve transportation coordination and enhance mobility, including access to non-emergency medical transportation.

Applications will be evaluated based on criteria outlined in the Notice of Funding Opportunity. Applications are due February 13, 2024.
